Warehouse Associate (Permanent Part-time)

Role Description and Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a well-organized and clean warehouse environment
  • Receive and inspect in-coming and out-going shipments
  • Arrange for delivery of customer orders with our delivery companies
  • Effectively manage and dispose of waste and recycling
  • Communicate delivery details with customers
  • Electronically receive furniture orders and inventory in our point of sale (POS) system
  • Transfer inventory from the warehouse to the showroom
  • Maintain and clean the company van
  • Have the ability to lift heavy objects and work at a sustained active pace
  • Maintain an accurate warehouse inventory
  • Assist with customer service issues including repairs

Qualifications:

  • Minimum grade twelve diploma
  • Warehouse experience a valuable asset
  • Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Valid BC Drivers license and abstract required.
  • Strong oral and written English skills
  • Excellent organization skills and exemplary customer service and personal skills.
  • Possess a strong work ethic and have the ability to work independently and in a team
  • Self-motivated and detail-oriented

Salary: $20.00-$22.00 per hour (based on experience and qualifications)

Sales Associate / Designer (Permanent Full-time or Part-time)

We are actively seeking to fill a professional furniture sales associate position to join our talented sales and design team in downtown Victoria (20-35 hours per week)

Role Description and Responsibilities:

  • guide and advise customers looking to furnish an entire room or simply add an accent piece
  • be up-to-date on the latest trends and enjoy working with a range of design styles from traditional to contemporary
  • Maximize company sales and profitability through the use of creative selling skills, teamwork and customer service
  • Maintain strong relationships with existing customers, as well as prospect for new customers.
  • Support and model excellent service by exhibiting a positive attitude and enthusiasm toward the job and the company

Qualifications:

  • 2 Years of professional retail sales background (furniture sales experience is an asset but not a requirement)
  • Possess an interior design diploma (an asset but not a requirement)
  • Open to continuous learning
  • Self-motivated and work well with others
  • Confidently present our quality products through effective verbal and written communication skills
  • A passion for interior design
  • Available to work Saturdays, Sundays and holidays

Salary: $30,000.00-$60,000.00 per year

Office Assistant (Permanent Part-time)

We are actively seeking to fill a part-time office assistant position (20 hours per week).

Role Description and Responsibilities:

  • Data entry – enter and monitor furniture orders in our Point of Sale (POS) system
  • Answer phones
  • Liaise with suppliers
  • Print price tags
  • Support sales and design team with customers
  • Maintain a clean and organized work space
  • Work closely with business owners on a variety of duties as needed
  • Monitor and update showroom inventory

Qualifications:

  • Minimum grade twelve diploma
  • Previous administration or office assistant experience a valuable asset
  • Good computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Strong oral and written English skills
  • Excellent organization skills
  • Possess a strong work ethic and have the ability to work independently and in a team
  • Self-motivated and detail-oriented

Salary: $18.00-$20.00 per hour (based on experience and qualifications)
